Lillian Lorriene Filla Austin

Lillian L. Austin of Silverdale (Kitsap County) Washington,
formerly of Lakewood died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 in Bremerton (Kitsap County)
Washington, due to complications of cancer. Lillian was born to Michael and
Anna Filla in Virginia (St. Louis County) Minnesota on April 11, 1924. She
graduated from Kelso High School in Kelso, WA in 1942. She married the love of
her life, Gerald Dewey “Gerry” Austin on March 2, 1944 in San Francisco, CA.
Lillian was an elementary school secretary for over 20 years in the Clover Park
School Dist. where she retired in 1986. She loved spending time with her
family, was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed cooking, clam digging, playing
bridge with friends, gardening, and spending time at the ocean. She is survived
by her son Rick G. Austin (Verna) of Kansas City, MO; daughters Cathy Austin of
Sicily, Italy, Joan Hailey (Mitch) of Bremerton, WA; brother Roy Filla of
Castle Rock, WA; sister Eleanor Lawhon (Frank) of Longview, WA; 7 grandchildren
Renee Austin (Gabe), Angela Austin Dake (Jason), Luke Austin (Emily), Amber
Austin Hailey, Mitchell Hailey, Casey Hailey, Cody Hailey; 5 great
grandchildren Austin Dorrell, Gabriella Dorrell, Lucas Dorrell, Daniella Dake,
Emma Dake; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her
husband Gerry who died in 1994. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday,
June 22, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Steilacoom Town Hall. In lieu of flowers,
